3. In celebration of Earth Day (April 22) challenge yourself, your friends, and your family to learn and practice how to be more sustainable. You will be presented with 5 different tasks each designed to educate yourself on an aspect of sustainability and how to start better practices. Learn about each one and make a change for that day. At the end of the week participants who have completed all 5 tasks will be entered into a raffle to win a prize. Additionally, each challenger who registers and completes at least one task will be entered to win a lucky participant prize. Five days for a better planet, take the challenge today!

11. I pledge to take the Earth Day Sustainability Challenge. I will attempt to complete all 5 activities. I will learn more about sustainability and make one change a day. I will treat other participants in a respectful manner. I recognize this competition is a recreational community event designed to promote overall community education on sustainability practices for a better earth.
13. I fully understand that my participation in the 2021 Earth Day Sustainability Challenge (hereinafter "event") exposes me to the risk of personal injury, death, communicable diseases, illnesses, viruses, or property damage. I hereby acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this event/class and agree to assume any such risks.
15. The Town of Mammoth Lakes is not responsible for any loss, alteration, corruption or other damage to my personal property, including computers, networks and other personal property used as part of my participation in the event.
17. I hereby warrant and agree, that the conditions of my property, both personal and real, are suitable for participation in the event and that by participating in the event, I assume the risk that such property is not suitable and agree to hold the Town of Mammoth Lakes harmless from any loss or damage arising from injury to person or property arising from the use of such property in the event.
19. I hereby release, discharge and agree not to sue the Town of Mammoth Lakes for any injury, death or damage to or loss of personal property arising out of, or in connection with, my participation in the event from whatever cause, including the active or passive negligence of the Town of Mammoth Lakes or any other participants in the event. The parties to this AGREEMENT understand that this document is not intended to release any party from any act or omission of “gross negligence,” as that term is used in applicable case law and/or statutory provision.
21. In consideration for being permitted to participate in the event, I hereby agree, for myself, my heirs, administrators, executors and assigns, that I shall indemnify and hold harmless the Town of Mammoth Lakes from any and all claims, demands actions or suits arising out of or in connection with my participation in the event.
23. I hereby consent to allow the exclusive use of, and relinquish all rights to, photographs and video in any manner including the likeness and/or activities of the participant and further authorize the Town of Mammoth Lakes, its agents or assigns, to make unlimited use of such reproductions, including but not limited to print and/or electronically on the internet with or without your name for any lawful purpose. I acknowledge that no compensation will be provided for such use by the Town of Mammoth Lakes. I understand that this Release shall remain in effect unless a subsequent written notification is provided to the Town of Mammoth Lakes.
25. I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS AND AGREEMENT NOT TO SUE AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT IT IS A FULL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY AND SIGN IT ON MY OWN FREE WILL.

32. I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California that I am the parent or legal guardian of Minor. I further declare that I shall indemnify and hold harmless the Town of Mammoth Lakes from and against any and all Claims resulting from, incident to, or arising out of Minor’s participation in the event/class, any and all risks assumed by Minor and me above, and/or the breach of any promises, covenants, and/or representations made by me herein and/or in the above Release.
